Sodium Bentonite

Sodium bentonite is a clay rock mainly composed of montmorillonite.

Product Introduction:

Sodium bentonite is a clay rock mainly composed of montmorillonite. Sodium bentonite is used as a basic material for drilling mud in oil drilling operations, featuring high water absorption and expansion rate, as well as a large slurry formation rate. It can control wellbore stability and downhole pressure. Sodium-based bentonite has a large ion exchange capacity and strong hydration ability, which makes it widely applicable in oilfield exploration, oil extraction, and other fields. During oilfield drilling, sodium-based bentonite is often used as the main component of drilling mud. Its excellent water absorption, expansion, and dispersion properties help form and stabilize the mud, effectively cooling, lubricating the drill bit, carrying drill cuttings and debris, and preventing well wall collapse caused by water seepage.
