Product Introduction

High-purity and high-performance biopolymer specially designed for oil drilling fluid systems. Xanthan gum has excellent suspension ability and shear thinning property, with a temperature resistance up to 120℃. When used, a bactericide needs to be added to prevent fermentation. When the pH value of the mud is greater than 10, xanthan gum will react with dissolved calcium ions to form a precipitate, but its salt resistance can generally meet the requirements. With its unique rheological properties, it becomes an indispensable efficient thickening agent and flow pattern regulator in water-based drilling fluids. Its core advantage lies in providing excellent low shear rate viscosity and having excellent salt resistance, calcium resistance and temperature resistance.

Main purpose

Excellent rock-carrying ability: Even when the pump is stopped or running at a low speed, it can effectively suspend rock cuttings and weighting materials, preventing sand accumulation at the bottom of the well and ensuring the safety of well running and pulling.

Precise wellbore cleaning: By establishing a good fluid rheological ratio, it ensures that the annular space can efficiently clean the wellbore under various pump speeds, reducing friction.

Reducing fluid loss and stabilizing the wellbore: When used in combination with other treatment agents, it helps form a dense filter cake, control the fluid loss, and maintain the stability of the wellbore.
Compatibility and environmental friendliness: It has good compatibility with common drilling fluid additives and is a natural biopolymer that is environmentally friendly and easily biodegradable.

Typical application scenarios

It is mainly used in freshwater, seawater, brackish water and high mineralization salt water drilling fluid systems.
It is particularly suitable for well sections such as highly deviated wells and horizontal wells that require high suspension carrying capacity.
It is often used when drilling into hydrated rock formations like shale, as a rheological control agent to stabilize the well wall.
It can also be used as a thickening agent in completion fluids and well servicing fluids.
